RICHFIELD HOMECOMING

Desiree was asked to homecoming this year. This was quite a first date! We were so excited about who asked her. Caleb is in our ward and an amazing guy. We couldn't have asked for a better guy to take her out. They had an 11 hour date. Desiree said she'd never had so much fun!
Rubber duckies in the tub! It took her quite a while to figure out who was asking her. I finally had to
tell her to start "C".  She was shocked that it was him ( a good shocked!)

She answered him with a basket full of nut candies like Snickers, Mr. Goodbar, chocolate covered peanuts, etc. with a note saying, "I would be a NUT if I didn't go to homecoming with you! YES!"

Isn't she Beautiful!

Desiree had a wonderful time and can't resist to smile when we talk about it.

Gracie's Baptism

Our beautiful Gracie was so excited to be baptized. She has been counting down for a year.
I am so glad that Steven is worthy to be able to baptize and confirm her.
We are very grateful for all the family that came to celebrate this special event in Gracie's life. We are so proud of her.

Bear Lake Reunion

Bear Lake is one of our favorite places to go. This year we were rained on a lot but still so much fun!
Our cabin was amazing. It was on the top of the West hill. It slept 19 and had everything. I would definitely stay there again.
We rented paddle boards and went out together. It was really fun. It was great to see my family that we don't get to see very often. The kids had a blast, three days at the beach.
Ava and Noah caught a huge crawdad, and of course they took it, cooked it and ate it!

Steven and Lee's little girls, Kate and Clair made this sand turtle!

WE DIDNT WANT TO COME HOME.

We love the outdoors

I really just wanted to be outside this last Friday. I felt like the kids were neglected the last week while I was at work so much. My friend told me about an awesome pool in Payson. That is an hour and a half away. Well we made the trip. (Our city pool sucks here)

It was well worth it. We spent four hours there soaking up the beautiful sun! We all got a little sunburned. The spray sunblock didn't work very well. Also the same friend told us about a hike in Payson canyon, so since we were there we had to check it out. Well worth it.

It was a green luscious trail next to a creek and we had to cross over tree logs over the creek. It was only 80 degrees up there. PERFECT!
The trail led to a cave/cove with a waterfall. Pretty amazing!

I love the outdoors and can't wait to come back here and do some camping!
This is one goal  of mine, to be more active not just for me and my weight but it is so good for the kids.

Jenson Family Reunion

This year our family was in charge of the Jenson reunion. We had it here in Richfield. We are grateful for all who showed up and the participation. This year for the women's craft we made family cook-book. It was really fun. I had a lot of scrapbook kits left over and so we used those to create our covers of the binder and the section dividers. We really had a lot of fun this year. Here are some of the family pictures that we took. We will email you your family's pictures.

Our 14 Mile Adventure

So we really have been trying to stay active and fortunately it includes the kids. They think my ideas of activities are sometimes crazy but not our last adventure! I told the girls that we were going on a 14 mile bike ride. Of course they started moaning and groaning but I didn't back down. I new we could do it.
We went from the Panguich exit up to Big Rock Candy Mountain. Yes, up the canyon. About one mile into our ride Karly crashed after a fly flew into her face. She scraped her hands up pretty well.
That took a little while to get back on the ride. Then Desiree crashed on the way back down the canyon scraping up her knees. But everyone servived. We had to keep encouraging the girls that we can do it! It was hard for them and it was a great accomplishment! I am so proud of them. OUR GIRLS ROCK!
When we got to the end we had a picnic on the grass and rested for a bit.
The girls earned a treat.
It took us about 1 1/2 hours to ride up and only took us about 30 minutes to coast down. That made it all worth it. It was really fun to ride the canyon down. That's when the kids were having fun! At the end I asked them if it was worth it and they said "YES". So it wasn't such a hair-brained idea. We will definitely be going again. GOOD JOB GIRLS!

Been a while

Well apparently it has been almost two years since I have posted anything on our blog. I kind of forgot that we had it.

All our girls are doing well. Desiree has her learners permit and it isn't very fun teaching a teenager how to drive. This summer she turns 16 and can date. That is just weird to me. Makes me realize how fast life is going.

Karly took first place in Nationals in all 3 of her clogging dances. She absolutely loves it and is very talented in it. She will be in 8th grade this fall, good grief. She has been wearing braces for about 8 months and her smile is looking great. Desiree is also in braces and thank heavens for double insurance coverage!

Avery just finished 4th grade and is going to miss school during the summer. She is taking tennis lessons again this summer and loves it.

Gracie is now out of Ashman Elementary and moving to Pahvant for third grade. I can't believe our baby is that old. She is our little social butterfly! Gracie will be baptized in July 6 which is Desiree's sweet sixteenth birthday, so that is going to be a big day.

Summer is here and got to keep the kids busy. We have a family reunion in Bear Lake in July, one here in Richfield in June and a High School friend reunion in Price the first of June.  It will be a good summer.
